Platinum Pools And Outdoor Living
Pool builder in Grapevine, Texas
Details confirmed
Owner-led and deliberately small, this boutique Dallas–Fort Worth builder has worked since 2004 and takes only eight to ten projects a year. The owner personally designs every pool and remains the single point of contact, with no project managers or subcontracted design. Roots run deepest in Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller, Westlake and Trophy Club. Clients receive 3D photorealistic renderings and an itemized written proposal, and the firm handles city permits and HOA review packets. Services include custom pools, integrated spas, vanishing edges, fountains, fire features, outdoor kitchens, pavilions, porcelain and travertine decking, and renovations. Financing is available, and the pool shell carries a transferable lifetime structural warranty with manufacturer warranties on equipment. A Texas Association of Builders Star Award recognized one outdoor living project.

Licensing and insurance
Licensing in Texas. Texas has no state license for swimming pool contractors, so there is no state register to check a pool builder against. What is licensed is the sub-work: pool plumbing and gas lines must be done by a plumber licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and pool electrical by an electrician licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio also require contractor registration with the city before permits are issued.
Platinum Pools And Outdoor Living's website does not say whether the company is licensed or insured. Ask for the plumber's and electrician's license numbers and a certificate of insurance before signing.
