Expertpools LLC
Pool builder in Prosper, Texas
Details not confirmed
Repair work is the backbone of this Prosper operation, which has been servicing pools since 1999 and also takes on a limited number of new builds. The owner says he builds no more than four pools at a time, designs the pool the client wants rather than steering toward one material, and keeps the same foreman on a project from start to finish. A typical pool and spa combination is described as taking about 90 days or less. Equipment installation covers Jandy and Pentair, and the team repairs heaters, pumps and filters of any brand. Technicians are described as certified and licensed. Remodeling and ongoing maintenance are also offered, along with water-chemistry guidance for owners.

Licensing and insurance
Licensing in Texas. Texas has no state license for swimming pool contractors, so there is no state register to check a pool builder against. What is licensed is the sub-work: pool plumbing and gas lines must be done by a plumber licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and pool electrical by an electrician licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio also require contractor registration with the city before permits are issued.
Expertpools LLC's website states that the company is licensed or insured; we recorded the claim, not a verification. Ask for the plumber's and electrician's license numbers and a certificate of insurance before signing.
